How Fuel-ish!
Posted on August 7th, 2010
We all know that if you drive long enough, everything becomes automatic, like a reflex. You don’t have to think about moving up a gear, or breaking, it all just seems to happen. Does the same happen when it comes to filling up? Come to think of it, I can’t remember thinking ‘I need to go to the petrol station and choose this pump’ I just automatically pick up the green one and go! This has never been a problem, I’ve always driven petrol cars. This might become a problem if I was to get in a diesel car. If I’m not really thinking about it, I would probably put the wrong fuel in.

Manchester United‘s Gary Neville knows all to well about this. At a petrol station near his home the other day, he put £60 worth of petrol in his diesel Audi Q7. When he tried to start it, the engine cut out. It doesn’t really surprise me though. If you’ve got plenty of cars, its bound to happen! Gary Neville’s car was loaded on a tow truck after he called his Dad, Neville Neville for a lift home!

400 people misfuel everyday, a whopping 146,000 a year. Most insurance companies won’t offer cover for this, they see it as your fault! At Adrian Flux we don’t think like this. We know that the reactions are automatic, and can be completely accidental! The cost of draining the fluid and repairing parts can cost up to £3000 in total, a bit of a sting for an innocent mistake! Adrian Flux offer cover for a misfuel. Not only that, we will sort out the draining of the wrong type, and put in £10 of the right type so you can be on your way!
