swiftcover.com to provide home insurance

Posted on July 27th, 2010

Online car insurer swiftcover.com is branching out, and from 27th July will be offering a home insurance product it hopes will shake up the market.

The insurer offers a quick and clear quote generator, with potential customers provided with quotes only on aspects they wish to be covered, enabling them to escape being charged for items they do not want to buy.

This prevents policyholders from acquiring unnecessary coverage (such as insurance for students living away from home, unneeded for many homeowners) and helps them to get better coverage they do need (such as decent limits for coverage of bicycles and garden furniture).

With its new offering, swiftcover.com provides a good standard product with a number of optional extras to bolster coverage in certain areas.

As with the firm’s car insurance, the entire process of buying home insurance, amending it and claiming will occur online, saving time and money for the policyholder.

Earlier this year swiftcover.com won the Marketing Initiative of the Year award at the British Insurance Awards in recognition of its multi-platform campaign which saw its brand awareness surge by 90%.
